National Suicide Prevention Hotline. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support. 1-800-273-TALK (8255). In July 2022 the hotline number will change to 988.

- Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL)
- - Reaches out to and supports people who have lost a loved one to suicide.
- - Goal is to give survivors a place where they can be comfortable expressing themselves, a place to find support, comfort, resources and hope in a judgment-free environment.
- - While based in San Diego, the website contains valuable resources for survivors no matter where they live. Click here for a list of AAS accredited crisis centers around the United States.

- - Recently, Joyce Bruggeman, Executive Director of SOSL, and Floyd Strayer, veteran and volunteer with SOSL were asked to participate in a podcast series to start the conversation about the pressing problem of suicide for our veterans. This series talks about suicide from a variety of voices and experiences. The SOSL podcast is titled “Survivors of Suicide – You Are Not Alone.”
